Monroe County New York serves over 735,000 residents in a radius of 673 square miles including the city of Rochester.

 

The Monroe County Volunteer Fire Police Assn. is comprised of 300 members from 33 of the county's 45 fire departments. Here is a view of the county map and the fire department locations.

 

Our duties include:

 

  • Traffic control
  • Scene Safety and security
  • Crowd Control
  • Logistics
  • And Law Enforcement Assistance
  •  

Our objectives include:

 

  • To promote awareness and duties of the fire police
  • To promote safety among the fire police squads
  • To act as a laision between the fire department and the public, as well as a laision between the fire police squads, fire, and governmental agencies
  • To promote fire police training

Course Announcement:  The next Fire Police course has been scheduled! To register call the Monroe County Fire Bureau at 753-3711. We still don't have a registration form, so it is best to have your training officer call and make arrangements. For information click here!
